Women's Health

An acupuncture point is being located on a client. Danielle Croft is in her women's health treatment room whilst her client enjoys a treatment.
Acupuncture in Banbury for hormone balance, period health, peri and menopause

Our bodies move through many hormonal transitions - every single month we navigate a swing from yang to yin, and through our life we move from our first period to our last with all the years in between. We are amazing creatures.

Acupuncture can be a gentle but powerful way to support you through each phase, helping to ease discomfort, bring balance, and reconnect you with your body’s natural rhythms.

At my clinic in Banbury, I regularly see people who are navigating:

  • Irregular, heavy or painful periods

  • PMS and mood changes

  • PCOS or other hormonal imbalances

  • Perimenopause: anxiety, sleep disruption, hot flushes, rage, cycle changes

  • Menopause: fatigue, dryness, mood swings, joint pain, brain fog

  • Postmenopause support and ongoing wellness

  • The emotional and physical effects of stress on hormonal health

Why People Come to See Me

Many of the people I work with come because they’re feeling out of balance and want holistic support. You may feel let down by conventional options.  You might be navigating mood changes, sleep issues, irregular cycles, severe PMS or simply not feeling like yourself, and you're looking for natural, effective ways to feel better again.

I meet you where you are. Whether you’re 25 or 55, we take time to explore your health story fully. Together, we’ll work to restore harmony; physically, emotionally, and energetically.

A Calm, Caring Approach

With 18 years’ experience in acupuncture, I’ve supported many women through hormonal transitions with a grounded, compassionate approach. I draw on my background in both general and fertility acupuncture.

Treatments take place in a quiet, peaceful clinic in Banbury. Clients often describe treatments as being deeply relaxing and nourishing and many of my clients say it’s their favourite hour of the week.

What to Expect

Your first session includes a thorough consultation where we talk through your cycle, symptoms, history and wellbeing as a whole. From there, your acupuncture treatment is tailored to your unique needs. Most women benefit from a course of treatments and many choose to continue with regular sessions as part of their long-term self-care.

Inclusive and Welcoming Environment

Women's health acupuncture is not just for cisgender women. I use the term 'women' to refer to people assigned female at birth.

My clinic is a safe and inclusive space for all individuals, including transgender men, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ people. If you are experiencing hormonal changes, or using prescribed transitioning hormones, the holistic health support you deserve is available here.

Everyone's journey is unique, and I am committed to providing compassionate care tailored to your personal experience.

If you feel anxious about acupuncture, please know you're not alone. Many of my patients arrive feeling unsure - especially at first, and I always take the time to talk things through, explain what to expect, and go at a pace that feels right for you.

My treatments are gentle, calm, and designed to help you feel safe and at ease, and I'm always keen to hear about any triggers you have, 'no-go' body areas for you, or ways in which I can help you feel more calm in your treatments; our brains and bodies all work in very different ways. It's my job to support you just the way you are.
